    Description

    This swinging fireplace crane is designed to support heavy iron kettles if desired, or it can be used solely for quaintness and charm.  Strong anchor bars, furnished with the crane, go into the masonry in the side wall.  It comes with brackets for a fireplace that is already built.The crane is made so that once it is installed the crane itself can be lifted up and be removed if desired.  We make these cranes here in Hanson Mass, they are all made of heavy steel which we cut, bend, hammer the end, weld it here and paint them.  We have been making them for 50 years.  This price is for the 22" crane but we also have 3 other sizes.   The 26", 32" and 41" (length of arm.) This crane is recommended for a fireplace width opening of 24"wide to 31" wide. You want the crane to go more than halfway across the width so that you can hang a kettle over the fire location. All cranes are hand made so they may vary 1"-1 1/2" longer on the length of the arm.
